2013 DREAM schedule for the IZOD IndyCar series

I put together my dream schedule for the 2013 IZOD IndyCar season. Please note this is just me dream schedule and is in no way reflective of the thoughts of IndyCar officials! I have 24 races divided up with a perfect 25%, 25%, 25%, 25% brake up between street courses, permanent road courses, short ovals (less than 1.5 miles), and super speedways (1.5 mile or greater). I tried to keep excising races on their same weekend as much as possible but some things had to be moved around some. I have also not taken into account how realistic these dates are for some of the tracks who may have other races around that time of the year. After all this is just my dream schedule!

I have taken some risk pairing road/street coarse with ovals in the same area in back to back races (Milwaukee and Road America and Huston and Texas). The theory behind it is for the most part (though I understand there is some crossover) there are different types of fans that go to oval races and go to road races this way you appease both fan bases while staying in the same market's headlines longer.  Cons to this plan are that some people might want to go to both but not that close together. Pros however, are that you might be able to build fans at one and get them to go to the other.
